Honda launches two new models as part of 0 Series range

In 2026, Honda will launch the 0 Series, a new series of vehicles that signify the brands next step in mobility. Honda 0 Series will launch with two concept models, the Saloon and Space Hub.

Honda is aiming to realise carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities that they are involved with by 2050. In order to achieve this, the company is pursuing its automobile electrification target of increasing the ratio of EV and FCEV sales to 100% globally by 2040.

The Honda 0 Series is a new EV series that symbolises how Honda is undergoing a major transformation in line with its global brand slogan and electrification policy. The series name represents Honda’s determination in taking on the challenge of developing a new EV series by going back to the starting point of Honda as an automaker and creating completely new EVs from zero. With this new EV series, Honda will strive to further advance its man maximum, machine minimum concept and the joy of driving which Honda values in its car making and takes the joy and freedom of mobility to even greater heights. The man maximum, machine minimum concept is a basic approach to Honda car design, an approach to increase the efficiency of the vehicle interior by maximising space for people and minimising the space required for mechanical components.

In 2026, Honda will begin introducing the first model of the Honda 0 Series globally, starting with North America, then Japan, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America.

With the Honda 0 series of vehicles, Honda aims to create the next generation of Honda by going back to the starting point of Honda, including the pursuit of the man maximum, machine minimum concept, the joy of driving and the joy of freedom of mobility, which Honda has always valued and will continue to pursue. Honda aims to provide experiences that will become a new starting point for our customers. Thin, light and wise

With 0 Series Honda will strive to create new value for EVs by transcending the constraints that come with being thick and heavy. Historically this has been caused by the increases in battery capacity needed to ensure enough range as well as a large body and platform necessary to accommodate such battery capacity.

Styling and low vehicle height will be used to optimise aerodynamic performance along with a thin dedicated EV platform with a low floor height.

Sporty driving and electricity efficiency performance will aim to defy the established beliefs thanks to the use of Honda original technologies.

Honda’s electric vehicles will feature a dedicated EV architecture centred around values that include an artistic design that evokes resonance, ADAS that ensures safety and peace of mind, an interior that incorporates the internet of things and connected technologies as well as the joy of driving.

ADAS that ensures safety and peace of mind

The Honda 0 Series will feature an advanced driver-assistive system that utilises the technologies of Honda Sensing Elite. In future these models will also feature an automated driving system and be offered as a more affordable EV featuring more automated driving functions.

A new definition of space

Through IOT and connected technologies centred around Honda’s original vehicle operating system, the Honda 0 Series models will aim to offer the value of fun to drive, fun to use and fun to be connected. With the utilisation of AI and big data, the vehicle will learn the user’s preferences such as music, as well as the driver’s behaviours and tendencies while driving and make various suggestions. The vehicle will offer value as if it understands the feelings of the user making it possible for the vehicle to offer the fun of being connected in various situations in people’s daily lives.

The Saloon is the flagship concept model of the Honda 0 Series and embodies the Thin, Light and Wise approach. The low height and sporty styling that sets the Saloon apart realises both a fascinating design and an interior space that is more spacious than what people can imagine based on the exterior appearance. The instrument panel features a human-machine interface that enables simple and intuitive operations. As the flagship model of the Honda 0 Series, the Saloon pursues the ultimate joy of driving in the EV era. With the use of sustainable materials for the interior and exterior, the saloon is being developed as a unique model that will resonate with users and the natural environment.

Honda Space Hub

Utilising the common design language of the Honda 0 Series, the Space-Hub was developed to augment people’s lives. Realising a spacious cabin and excellent visibility based on the thin, light and wise development approach, the Space-Hub offers a flexible space that immediately accommodates what users want to do by becoming a hub that connects people to people and people to society, generating mutual resonance with each other.

A new H logo

As part of the 0 Series launch event, Honda showcased a new H logo that represents the brands commitment to the next generation of EVs.

The new H logo expresses Honda’s determination to pursue the transformation as well as Honda’s corporate attitude of going beyond the origin of Honda and constantly pursuing new challenges and advancements. The design expression, which symbolises two outstretched hands, represents Honda’s commitment to augment the possibilities of mobility and sincerely serve the needs of users of Honda EVs. The new H mark will be used on next-generation Honda EVs, including the Honda 0 Series models.
